It’s no secret that Big Pharma has been trying to gain control of our health or lack of health, but recently the heat has been turned up. On April Fools day, 2011, herbal supplements across the E.U. will be pulled from the shelves. Homeopathic remedies have been dismissed as a fraud and schools have already been shut down in Europe.

How could this have happened? Well I am not so sure. I wasn’t aware that a sweeping law could be passed in the E.U. I spend a lot of my time sending emails to my representatives to make sure that Codex Alimentarius doesn’t pass here in the US, we are continually fighting it and our efforts have kept it at bay. But since I don’t live in Europe, I have no idea how it happened there. To me, Europe has always been a fantasy land of miraculous natural healing products, a tradition of herbal healing and garden plots for every family. Perhaps the general population was completely clueless as to what was going on, I welcome letters from Europeans who have insight on this.

Herbal supplements will be required to go through the same rigorous testing as a synthetic drug. The vast majority of supplement companies do not have the means to bring their products to market, as each herb requires around 200k to pass through all the testing and bureaucracy.  Then, the herbs can only be prescribed by a medical doctor. Are they serious? As well all know, MD’s do not receive training on herbs. But herbologists will no longer be allowed to practice.

So now, I have to go to the doctor, after waiting a month to get an appointment, then waste a day waiting in the office until the doctor can see me for a few minutes to get my vitamin C? Come on. This is where educating yourself on the plants in your environment can come in handy.

If I can't get vitamin C, all I have to do is collect a few Piñon Pine needles from the tree in my backyard, make a tea and I have the equivalent of 5 limes.

But this information will be banned as well. I’m not sure how they are going to draw the line between medicinal herbs and foods, considering all food in its natural state is medicine. Long story short, we need to stop this.

One must understand that while it is important to hold a healing space for the evolution of our leaders, it is also pertinent to understand that the people in charge of this level of control have a mental illness classified as “Psychopath.”  Psychopaths are obsessed with controlling things. Obsessed. They have dismissed feelings and compassion as weakness, and can only feel their identity from the power they amass at the expense of others.  There is a twisted pleasure in oppressing others for their own power.

This is not representative of the majority of the population and can be confusing for those people who have compassion. So don’t get your head in a tizzy about the why and how they are doing this. They are mentally ill and you are probably not.  But the threat has become real, so our compassion for them cannot outweigh our need to take action for what is right. This is not the first witch hunt that has happened, probably not the last, but we must band together and use what is left of our democracy.
